PLM Fleet: apps and user guide

The software for taxis, shared minibuses and motorbike taxis: the owner on a computer or the web, each driver on his Android phone. Payments, debts, photographed odometer, live map. (Interface in French.)

  • The drivers’ app (Android)

The driver scans the QR code, opens the downloaded file and, if the phone asks, allows installing from this source. Won’t install? Take the “older phone” version.

  • The owner: computer and browser

The Windows program (exe) is handed over with your licence. You can also open PLM Fleet in the browser of any computer or phone, with your account.

Getting started (the owner, once)

  1. Activate the licence: the exe shows the computer’s code; send it to PLM on WhatsApp, paste the key you receive.
  2. Create your account (e-mail and password), then your fleet: its name and the time of the evening close (9 pm by default).
  3. Vehicles: add each taxi, minibus or motorbike with its plate, mileage and purchase price.
  4. Drivers: add each one with his number, then “Give access”: a temporary 6-digit code to send him on WhatsApp.
  5. Contracts: one vehicle, one driver, and what he brings back each weekday (less on one day, a day for himself, rest days).
  6. Drivers’ app: print the poster with the QR codes and put it up at the car park. Settings: add your managers and a read-only accountant.

The driver, every day

  1. First login: his number and the manager’s code, then he chooses his own 6-digit code.
  2. Start my shift: photo of the odometer (it must show the vehicle’s mileage), fuel, vehicle condition, papers on board.
  3. Declare a payment: Wave, Orange Money, MTN or Moov with the transaction number, or cash handed to the manager.
  4. Fuel (receipt): photo of the receipt, amount and current odometer; Problem: breakdown, accident or police check, the owner is told.
  5. End my shift: photo of the evening odometer. The day’s kilometres reach the owner.

Help

The driver forgot his code

Drivers → “New code”: he gets a temporary code and chooses a new one when he logs in.

The odometer doesn’t match

Departure is refused if the odometer does not show the vehicle’s mileage. If it is right (garage, tow), correct the mileage in Vehicles → Edit.

The position doesn’t arrive

The driver must have started his shift and allowed location for PLM Fleet in the phone settings.

Is internet needed?

Yes: PLM Fleet is online, which is what lets you follow drivers remotely. The driver’s phone uses little data.

Every read and every write checks the right of whoever makes it: another fleet sees nothing, a driver sees only his contract, his photos go to private storage.
